When a dentist gives you a localized anesthetic, it can often last up to four hours after treatment. This can be quite an inconvenience, especially if you have to go back to work. How It Works
OraVerse reverses the effects of local anesthesia, allowing you to begin to feel your lips again faster. It shortens the two-to-four-hour duration of numbness, to one to two hours. Administered in the form of an injection, phentolamine mesylate (OraVerse) dilates your blood vessels which increases blood flow to the area, allowing you to gradually feel and control your lips once again.
