Do you wish your smile could be brighter? If so, we could help by removing teeth stains. In fact, we have two different options available to make your smile shine! In today’s blog, Dr. Robert M. Browne talks about obtaining a brighter smile with our professional teeth whitening treatments.
The Onset of Unsightly Teeth Stains
Why do our teeth become stained in the first place? For some, consuming beverages with dark pigments could be a factor, such as tea, soda, red wine, and coffee. For others, tobacco use is a possible cause (and could also increase your cancer risk). When we consume foods and drinks high in sugar and starch, and do not brush and floss well, this could lead to plaque and tartar buildup that makes stains more apparent, and which could threaten teeth and gums alike. Our team will conduct an exam to assess the cause of your stains, so we can choose the right teeth whitening treatment to brighten your smile.
Teeth Whitening In-Office
For some, we could brighten smiles with teeth whitening in only one visit! With the in-office procedure, results are possible in as little as one to two hours, which is perfect if you have an event coming up, like a job interview, a first date, or even a graduation or wedding. The process is simple. Our team will apply a protective covering on your lips and gums and then place a powerful bleaching gel on the surfaces of your teeth. Once we do, our team uses a special light to activate the gel and brighten your smile, often by several shades!
A Brighter Smile From Home
We could also brighten your smile with teeth whitening from home. With our take-home kit, we could offer results that are eight shades brighter, taking on more severe cases of discoloration in as little as a week. You first stop by just long enough for us to create a set of custom plastic trays. Which we send home with you. We also provide a series of plastic syringes that contain a powerful bleaching gel. At home, you simply add gel to the trays and wear them for a set amount of time, usually about an hour, and do so every day for a week to ten days.
If you have any questions about how we brighten smiles with teeth whitening, or about any of our other cosmetic treatments, such as orthodontic clear aligners and porcelain veneers, then contact our team today! We want to help your smile shine.
