Our team wants to offer an improved patient experience, and to do so we can use advanced technology. We can conduct a diagnosis, plan treatment, and offer care with precision and comfort with digital technology. In today’s blog, Dr. Robert M. Browne talks about using technology to offer a better patient experience.
The Need for Improving Patient Experience
Routine care is needed for all ages to protect teeth and gums from decay and periodontal disease, keeping smiles full and functional, and beautiful too. But if someone has dental anxiety, or has had bad prior experiences, this could stand between them and the smile they deserve. We want to ensure that everyone enjoys a positive experience in our office. As part of the process, we can offer local anesthetic and even sedation to help you enter a calm state. But we can also streamline the treatment process, using digital technology to diagnose your smile, plan care, and even create the custom restorations and appliances you need to enjoy better oral health.
Digital Technology
Offering a better patient experience begins with the initial examination. Our team will look at your smile with digital x-rays, which use 90% less radiation, doesn’t require bitewings, and provides detailed images instantly chairside, no need to wait for them to develop in harsh chemicals. You have less time in the chair, and we can walk you through the diagnostic process, so you understand the state of your smile and what care is needed to improve it.
Our team also offers an intraoral camera, which takes images of the surfaces of your teeth and gums to diagnose issues like tooth decay and gum disease, as well as TMJ disorder and bruxism (teeth grinding). We can also use images we obtain to help design crowns and prosthetics, and even custom oral appliances to treat bruxism. With a digital approach, we can offer a better patient experience for you and your family!
Starting with a Dental Exam
If you want to enjoy better oral health, then please consider an appointment with us for a checkup and cleaning. With a routine visit, we can monitor your smile for signs of poor oral health and then assess their presence before they threaten smile stability. We can offer care for kids as well! If you have any questions about how we offer a better patient experience with digital imaging, or if you want to schedule a visit with our team, then contact our office today to learn more!
