To begin, we will schedule a cosmetic consultation to look closely at your smile imperfections and assess their cause and severity. We also talk to you about your own hopes and goals for your smile, and what we can do to help you address them. If you have several concerns you want to see addressed, we may look at our thin cosmetic restorations, such as veneers and Lumineers, to decide if these are the best way to makeover your smile, which can be done in as little as one to two visits!
These can cover up severe teeth stains, the kind whitening alone may not be able to address. We can also use them to repair and reshape the teeth, and to also add length to worn down structures. Placement could fill gaps between the teeth too, and even correct the appearance of minor misalignment for some patients, so they enjoy a straighter-looking smile.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are very thin shells of porcelain that we attach to the front of your teeth. To make room for them, we will need to numb the tooth/teeth and gently remove a thin layer of outer enamel. We then gather detailed images of the prepared teeth and use the information in a dental lab setting to design and craft your restoration. When your veneer is ready, we will check the fit and make any necessary adjustments. Finally, we will attach them with a powerful bonding agent, which secures them for years to come.
Custom Lumineers
With Lumineers, we also custom-make these thin shells of porcelain, only this time they will be so thin that we do not have to remove outer enamel. Instead, we can attach them firmly to the tooth without removing any natural structure, meaning the entire process can be done in one appointment for some patients.
