The Difference Between Veneers and Lumineers®
Both are thin shells or porcelain used to correct multiple cosmetic issues all at once. But there are some key differences. With porcelain veneers, we need to remove a thin layer of outer enamel to make room for the new restorations. This makes room for them and ensure they blend better with the rest of your smile, while also preserving your overall bite balance. However, Lumineers® are much thinner, and require very little enamel to be removed, preserving more of your natural tooth structure. Which means we require less time for placement too. Essentially, this is a less invasive and thinner version of traditional veneers, one that can still offer a smile makeover.
