Frequently Asked Questions
Question: If I’m experiencing tooth pain, is this a definite sign that I’m dealing with the development of a cavity?
Answer: It’s not a definite sign. It’s a possible sign. However, if you know anything about pain in your tooth, you know that a variety of causes may be the source of your current discomfort. Don’t make any assumptions about pain. Do make appointments!
Question: How can I tell the difference between a cavity and an infection? If my tooth is infected, will I definitely be dealing with serious tooth pain?
Answer: You can’t. Whether the discomfort is gentle or throbbing and severe, without coming in for a dental visit with us, you’re not going to be able to figure out what’s ailing your oral health. It’s best to see our team and allow us to diagnose and treat you ASAP than to “play dentist.”
Question: How should I handle tooth pain? Do you suggest I wait a week or two to see if it goes away? Or, should I call you when it happens?
Answer: Call us right away. We cannot stress this enough.
