A Lumineer® is a very thin restoration made from porcelain. The completed restoration is then connected to the front of a tooth, and once attached it makes instant changes to the overall appearance of the tooth. With veneers, we need to remove outer structure from the tooth to make room for them. Once attached, these are a permanent fixture, once that could need to be replaced in the future. With Lumineers, we don’t need to remove outer structure from your tooth, we just attach the Lumineer®, which is thin enough to still look natural and bond with the tooth, keeping your enamel intact. Which means in the future if you want to remove or replace them, this can be done without leaving your tooth exposed or requiring immediate replacement. You also have a shorter placement process!
